From June 23 through July 6 last year there were a total 35 fireworks caused fires in the City of Portland. To add to that, it is estimated that about 8,700 people were treated in hospital emergency rooms for fireworks related injuries across the United States in 2012.
I don’t want you to be another number in that statistic. Check out this helpful guide from the Portland Fire & Rescue.
When in doubt, leave the fireworks for the professionals. There are several impressive firework displays throughout the Metro Portland Area.
